R P Panels keeps a wide range of Birch plywood as stock.
Light in colour, thin laminations and little to no core gaps makes this plywood extremely strong as well as aesthetically pleasing. Available in a wide range of thickness and sheet sizes as well as different grade face veneers. Available as Exterior grade which utilises a WBP glue line and and also available with a class 1 interior glue line which is suitable for laser cutting. The majority of Birch Plywood is FSC certified.
Face grades: S+/BB, B/BB, BB/BB, BB/CP, BB/WG
S+ – Top grade, ideal for decorative use, staining ,lacquering. No plugs allowed.
B – For high quality, painting, staining and lacquering. Mainly, white veneers with no plugs. Minimal light discolouration permitted.
BB – Ideal for painting, overlays, veneering or films. Knots or holes over 7mm are replaced by oval or butterfly wooden plugs.
CP – Repaired solid patches up to 40mm allowed although generally no more than BB grade. Heavy staining allowed
WG – Used where face appearance is not important. Sound knots up to 65mm allowed and can also permit splits and open defects. Heavy staining, rough patches and glue percolation allowed. Can also include fall down grade from higher grade.
CE Structural EN13986 12mm+. EN636-2 EN314-2 Class 3. Certified & Sustainably sourced.
Thickness ranging from 0.8mm to 50mm.
